NEW PRODUCT – KATO IC70R CRAWLER CARRIER

KATO WORKS started sales of crawler carrier IC70R, a brand-new 360°slewing crawler carrier, in May 2023. This new model has dramatically increased safety and transportability in response to many customers’ suggestions. It also has an engine that clears Europe Stage V and EPA Tier 4 regulations.

Transportability
–  Compact Size
–  Vehicle height was decreased to 2680mm, clearing more height restrictions while transporting.
–  Vehicle width was decreased to 2490mm, giving more transportability.

Safety
–  Engine Overrun Prevention.
–  An electrically controlled engine and hydraulic pumps significantly reduce the risk of engine overrun, making downhill travel much safer.
–  Low Center of Gravity.
–  The center of gravity is lowered while maintaining ground clearance at 560mm. As a result, stability in all directions
   increases, thus decreasing the risk of overturning.
–  Safety in tight spaces.
–  With the width decreasing to 2490mm while maintaining stability, it is less likely to make contact with other machines or obstacles in tight         working spaces.
–  Better Visibility.
–  The visibility from the cabin is increased. The operator can also check blind spots from cameras equipped on the vehicle.
–  ROPS cabs.
–  For better safety, the vehicle is equipped with ROPS cabs.
–  Traveling and Slewing Speed limit function.
–  Traveling and slewing speed is limited under certain conditions for increased safety.
–  Traveling speed is limited to 50% under the following conditions:
       – Slewing angel is not neutral.
       – Vessel is not fully retracted.
–  Slewing speed is limited to 70% under the following conditions:
       – Slewing operations while traveling.

Productivity and Handling
–  Joystick Lever.
–  Traveling, vessel, and slewing controls are controlled with two joystick levers on both sides, ensuring more comfortable operations even           under long hours.
        –  Left joystick lever: Traveling and vessel controls.
        –  Right joystick lever: Slewing controls.
–  Operating switches in cluster positions.
–  Switches that are frequently used are concentrated near the monitor for easier operations.
–  Comfortable seat.
–  A recliner seat with suspension is used to fit the operator’s body better. The height of the cab is also lowered, for easier movements.
–  360 degrees Slewing Capability.
–  The vessel is able to dump load with a 90 degrees slewing angle. The all-slewing capability is also handy in tight working spaces.

Maintenance
Bigger Cover Openings.
The cover openings are made bigger in this model for easier maintenance.
